Spring and Summer 2013 Bias Incidents Graph

There were eleven (11) bias incidents reported during the spring and summer semester of 2013. Most of the incidents occurred on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, campus. One (1) incident was reported on University email. Four (4) incidents occurred in housing areas, two (2) were reported in academic departments, one (1) was in a class, one (1) was in the library, and one (1) occurred on The Rock. One (1) incident occurred off-campus, but at a close proximity to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, campus. Reports involved one (1) incident regarding race, one (1) incident regarding sexual orientation, three (3) incidents regarding ethnicity, one (1) incident regarding national origin, one (1) incident regarding gender, one incident (1) regarding religion, ethnicity, race, and sexual orientation in the same incident, and three (3) incidents regarding religion. All reported incidents were investigated and appropriate followup was taken.
